The "ICT-enabled sustainability in smart cities" info & networking event organised by NCP Malta on he 3 March 2010 was a real success.
It attracted around 150 stakeholders from 13 different countries, including Senegal, India, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria and various European states.
The plenary session was addressed by the Hon. Minister Dr. Austin Gatt, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, the Hon. Dr Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Consumers, Fair Competition, Local Councils and Public Dialogue as well as by other high calibre speakers, including officials from the DG Information Society within the European Commission.
During the two parallel networking sessions that followed in the afternoon, more than 25 organisations delivered presentations on their interest to collaborate to project applications to be submitted under the 2010 ICTPSP Call.
